DISCLAIMER: Zines that are shared on the PkmnZineHub accounts and resources are not personally run or endorsed by PkmnZineHub mods unless specifically listed on the "Our Zines" page! Why do I have to be 18+ to join the discord or zines even if the surface spaces are SFW?Our discord does have opt in NSFW spaces, so you must be 18 years old to join. And for zines we just prefer work with adults. Simple as that. Why will you not support crossovers with certain fandoms? This is due to the level of intensity and drama that some fandoms tend to have. Because of this, to keep everyone safe, sane and happy we have decided to preemptively ban these topics and will not be supporting pokemon crossover zines with the following topics:- Homestuck
- MHA/BNHA
- Helluva Boss / Hazbin Hotel / Vivziepop Media
- Real People / Ships of Real People
These topics are also banned in our Discord Server for the same reasons. Please be aware of that before joining!Do you Support NFTs/Crypto?We will never support either. We have a firm stance that both are unacceptable both environmentally and socially. If you support either, we ask you not apply to any of our projects, do not join our discord, etc. What is your "Don't be an Asshole" Rule?Basically just that. We don't accept Racism, Sexism, LGBTphobia, Xenophobia, Pedophilia, Zoophilia, or anything else of that ilk. If you are found to be in support of any of these, you will be permanently BANNED from any current and future Pkmn Zine Hub projects, our Discord, and Any and All Social Media.Do you do portfolio reviews for the general public or rejected applicants? We currently do not offer portfolio reviews. We're all fairly busy and while we know that people would love to know what they can improve with their portfolios before applying to other or future projects, we simply do not currently have the time to take on that responsibility. How do your assignments work? I don't want to work on a piece, pokemon, character, etc that I'll hate!No worries! We will never assign you a piece that you'll hate working on! We do assign specific pieces to contributors to speed up our process, but we work completely based on your own preferences! You'll see on our applications that we ask for characters you DO want to work on, and characters you DO NOT want to work on. We also take a look at your pitches, and at pokemon and characters you've listed as your absolute favourites, and try to assign you based on all of these things combined. We tailor all of our applications based on applicant preferences.Due to limited assignments, the popularity of some characters, and the need for a variety of characters in page art to make a successful zine, we cannot guarantee that you'll be assigned one of the characters on your DO want to work on list, and may instead be assigned a character in your MAYBE section instead. Which is why we ask that you fill out your DO and DO NOT sections as thoroughly as possible to avoid even getting a character in the MAYBE section as best we can!We will NEVER give you a character on your DO NOT want list.We are, of course, open to suggestions, but we have found this to be a fast and effective method of getting things rolling and making sure that everyone enjoys their time working on the zine!Where do your zines ship from?Currently we're based in the United States, so all of our zines will ship from there unless a shipping mod is stationed outside of the USA.Will you be making a (blank) type zine?We plan to eventually make a zine of every pokemon type, along with other smaller or more casual zines or projects in between! This is, of course, going to take a while. If you want to see specific types of zines, feel free to send us an email! Are your zines For Profit or For CharityAll of our zines will be For Charity. Which charity will vary from zine to zine based on those that contributors and potential buyers suggest and vote on. But we have no plans to take on any For Profit projects. Will you promote "X Project"?Our main focus is zines and artbooks, but we may, from time to time, promote other pokemon related events such as Art Contests, Giveaways, Character Weeks, etc!I'm modding a pokemon zine! How do I get added to the calendar?Simply send us a DM on twitter or join our discord and ask for access to the Mod Network! We'll be able to view your schedule and add it to our calendar in no time! Why do you require pokemon , animal, furry or monster artwork in artist portfolios? We need to know how you'll draw pokemon of course! Style can vary greatly between humans and pokemon, but we know not everyone has time to draw fanart in their free time. And we certainly don't expect applicants to make new pieces just to apply to one of our projects. So in order to judge your portfolio properly, we do require at least animal, furry or monster art even if you've never drawn pokemon. Pokemon art of course is HIGHLY recommended but not required. We just need at least a vague idea of how your piece will turn out.For any other questions please feel free to DM us, send us an email, or send an anonymous ask to our tumblr!
